Château Puybarbe, Côtes de Bourg (2014)

Appellation: Côtes de Bourg
Château Puybarbe is located in the commune of Mombrier in the heart of the appellation “Côtes de Bourg”. Three lines of hillside on the right bank of the Dordogne River made that this wine producing region is called “the small Switzerland”. In this way, place called “Puybarbe” is perched in one of the most peak of the third line and offers a unique panorama over Bordeaux. Château Puybarbe is owned by the Orlandi family since 1952. At the beginning the vineyard was composed by only 7 hectares. Today, it is 32 hectares planted in vines. In 2000, Château Puybarbe grew up… the owners built a cellar and a fermenting room to entirely produce their wine by themselves.
Composed by 32 hectares, the chalky-clay soil of Château Puybarbe is planted with traditional grapes varieties from Bordeaux region, the château Puybarbe offers a blending of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (20%). The hilly area is also determinant for the best quality of the terroir. The average age of the vines is 26 years.
About the appellation…
On the right bank of the Gironde estuary, the terroir, more homogenous in the Bourgeais than in the Blayais, is mostly composed of clay and limestone with a few pockets of gravel, and benefits from a suitable sun exposure, very good drainage thanks to its terraces, and the microclimate due to the estuary.
The red Côtes de Bourg, intensely and radiantly crimson, have the « côtes » character, they are rounded, powerful and robust, those from the gravel areas having slightly more elegance.
Els Vinyerons, Penedès Saltamartí Negre (2017)

Vinyerons Vins Naturals is a project shared by Amós Bañeres and Alex Ruiz Masach in the heart of Penedés. They are encouraged to show the essence of the variety, the terrain and the landscape in their wines. They intend to make wine only with those vines that they are truly passionate about. Their philosophy is to let the wine make its own path, with little intervention and without oenological products.
Els Vinyerons Saltamartí Negre is a natural wine made from Tempranillo and Grenache grapes from vines planted on clayey-calcareous soils. Manual harvest, destemmed and maceration for 10 days. Slow fermentation is carried out with local yeasts in stainless steel deposits. Tempranillo is aged for 4 months in stainless steel deposits, and Grenache is aged for 12 months in barrels made of French oak.
Els Vinyerons Saltamartí Negre is an expressive, delicate wine. Ripe red fruit notes perfectly combined with subtle, light toasted notes.
Rezabal, Txacoli de Getaria Txakolina (2017)

Txakoli Rezabal is a living product , with its own personality and is expressed as people. If somehow we can describe our Txakoli Rezabal is “Happy”. Happy because it is fresh, light and easy. Fresh aromatic profile, light the palate and easy to drink. A txakoli to enjoy it.
Colour: Crystalline yellow with greenish sparkles . Fine bubbles that denotes joy and youth.
Aroma: Intense fresh fruit that evoke citrus and green apple.
Taste: Cheerful and friendly. Highlights the freshness of the captivating and refreshing acidity of the grapes.
